The Seed of Magic (first localized in English as Mystic Acorns (Dragon Warrior IV, NES)) is an item that permanently raises the maximum MP of whoever eats it. Consuming it increases the maximum MP by 3 to 5 points. Seeds of magic can be found in treasure chests, pots, drawers, and are dropped by some enemies. They cannot be purchased at shops.

Appearances

Dragon Quest

Although absent from the original NES version, they can be found in the SNES and Gameboy Color remakes of Dragon Quest. Due to text size limitations and the recent Eidos localization of Dragon Warrior Monsters, Seed of Magic was renamed MysticNut in the Gameboy Color remake.
