Starry Night Tournament
The Starry Night Tournament is a monster-battling tournament held between the kingdoms of the world of the Dragon Quest Monsters series.
Representatives from Lushland, Pays de l'Oseille, Taiboku and Witherwood convene at an arena in the host kingdom for the final round, after which the eponymous "starry night" occurs, a magical star shower that grants a single wish to the tournament's winner. The falling stars also prompt the birth of a new tree spirit.

Dragon Quest Monsters[edit]
Terry and his sister Milly are brought by the spirits Watabou and Warubou to the lands of GreatTree and GreatLog respectively, to serve as their representatives in the tournament. The siblings square off in the finals, where Terry comes out victorious. Terry uses his wish to retrieve Milly, who was carried off by Warubou after her defeat in the tournament.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland 3D[edit]
The Starry Night Tournament plays out similarly to the original game, but the postgame includes an additional tournament, the "Starry Night Tournament Legend". This tournament is held every 400 years in the kingdom of Juhyo, a land inhabited by monsters. Terry, Milly, the King of Lushland, the King of Witherwood, and the King of Pays de l'Oseille venture to Juhyo to participate in this tournament, which will determine whether the Spirit Stone will remain in human hands or be claimed by the monsters.

The floor of the arena used in the Starry Night Tournament appears as Treasure No. 668 in the Otherworldly Items category, under the name "Starry Night Stage". It has a base value of 30,000.
