Localization history[edit]
Air Slash and Skysplitter are the same skills in the Japanese language, with the English discrepancy possibly being due to Square Enix using a different translation contractor for these spin offs than the usual groups for mainline games.

Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
Air Slash can be learned by Dai at level 52 and costs 60 MP to use. It has a range of up to 3 squares away from him in any direction and inflicts 300% Woosh-type physical damage to a single enemy. Upgrading the skill increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to use. Air Slash's potency can be increased another 20% through Talent Blossoming.

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai: A Hero's Bonds[edit]
Air Slash appears as a piercing Slash-type sword skill that Avan and the Luminary Leader can use. It shoots energy forward and has a chance to lower the magical attack of the enemy.
A stronger version of it, Mighty Air Slash, appears as Avan's default special move.
