Effect When the wearer is defeated in battle, the Kerplunk spell is cast.

The Kerplunk Bracer is an accessory which first appeared in Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation.

When the wearer is defeated in battle, this bracer will cast the Kerplunk spell, which will do enormous damage to all enemies as well as revive any fallen allies. Unlike when used normally, it costs no MP.

In all games this accessory appears in, if a character that has the Kamikazee spell uses it while wearing this accessory, this bracer will automatically activate afterwards, allowing you to use this accessory's Kerplunk spell whenever you want as long as you have enough MP to cast Kamikazee.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen (remakes only)[edit]

The Kerplunk bracer is a remake-exclusive accessory that increases Defence by 15, and automatically casts Kerplunk after the wearer is defeated in battle. All characters aside from the 9th Chosen One can equip it. It can be acquired in exchange for 34 Mini medals at the Minikin's Dominion, and can also be bought for 10000 gold coins from Pioneer Town once it has reached stage four. It is also dropped by the Platinum king jewel (1/128 chance), an enemy exclusive to the post-game Fungeon.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit]

It increases Defense by 10 points, and Style by 25. All characters can equip it. One can be found in a treasure chest in Poseidon's Palace. It can also be acquired for 20000 tokens in the casino. Bomboulders have a rare chance (1/256) of dropping them.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]

Increases Defense by 10 points. Equippable by all characters. The only way to acquire one in the original PS1 version of this game is as a rare drop from either the Bomboulder (1/256 chance) or the Bloody hand (1/4096 chance). The latter is one of the rarest drops in the entire series.
