Fido (Tov in the NES Version) is a minor character in the town of Lakanaba in Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen who belongs to Finnegan.

Fido is kept behind bars by Finnegan's father as the dog only listens to his master. Needing a hound to hunt down some wily foxes, he is loaned to Torneko Taloon in return for getting Finn out of prison in Ballymoral.
When Torneko returns to the town Shinnock, Fido immediately pursues the scent of the fox who created the illusion of the town, thus resulting in the end of the phantasm. Afterwards, Torneko returns Fido to Finnegan.
In Chapter 5 and 6, Finnegan has moved into Torneko's old house and leaves Fido there to guard the place during the day. He will move aside if Torneko is present.
Trivia[edit]
- Hardie has a fear of dogs and will refuse to join Torneko if Fido is present.
- It is possible to complete Chapter 3 without returning Fido to Finn. This does not change any outcomes, as Fido will still be standing guard in Lakanaba in Chapter 5.
