King Godfrey was once the king of the House of Gitt. He is a boss encountered during Quest #145.

Description	Spirit of Godfrey of the House of Gitt, who dozed in the depths of the Quarantomb, north-west of Coffinwell. Planned to hand over the castle and kingship of Coffinwell when his son Godwyn came of age, but was killed before he could.

Story

Godfrey was the head of the House of Gitt and the king of Coffinwell. His son, Godwyn, had usurped him to create his empire, and Godfrey was interred in the Quarantomb. His ghost remained in the tomb, forgetful of his identity. Eventually, the Hero was able to jog his memory by retrieving his Royal seal that was confiscated by the Trauminator.

Upon remembering that he was the king of the House of Gitt, he stormed off to Gittingham Palace intending to confront Godwyn (unaware he was already defeated). At the palace, the ghost of Goresby-Purrvis asked the hero to put Godfrey's rampaging spirit to rest.
