The Talaria is a pair of enchanted shoes in the Dragon Quest series. Upon being worn, they transport the wearer to a destination previously unreachable.
Appearances[edit]
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit]
Found in Chapter 1 by Ragnar McRyan in the Auld Well. It was apparently left there by Psaro's Pawn to lure the children of Strathbaile. Upon wearing it, he was whisked to Loch Tur. It's one of the few items not to remain in the inventory by Chapter 5.
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit]
Found in Chancellor Jeeves's drawers in Gotha Castle. Upon wearing it, the Hero was whisked to the Northminster area, and from there attempted to rescue his wife from Knightmare Towers.
Dragon Quest Builders[edit]
The Talaria are an accessory that when equipped allow the builder to double jump.
In the story mode it can only be found in the first chapter. To obtain it, players need to find the remains of a man inside a cave, and place a dirt block and a tombstone on top of his bones. The man's ghost will then appear and gift them to the builder in gratitude. The exact location of the cave changes from savefile to savefile, but it's always in a cave in the area around the ruined fortress in the Hammerhood Heights.
In the free mode it can be made on a sewing station using 20 chimaera feathers, 5 pelts of powie yowie fur and 5 pelts of the finest fur.

Strange sandals that make you feel as light as a feather. |
Etymology[edit]
The Talaria are the winged sandals worn by the Greek god Hermes. Forged by Hephaestus out of pure gold, they allowed the wearer to fly faster than any bird.
