The thorn whip has an Attack bonus of +18. It can be equipped by the Hero, Mages, Thieves, Gadabouts, and sages. It can be purchased in shops for 320 gold coins in the NES version, but in remake versions of the game, it is obtained by turning in 5 mini medals to the medal collector in Aliahan. It can also be sold for 240 gold coins. Regardless of versions, Overtoads can sometimes drop them.
