A Seed of Strength is a seed that increases the strength of whoever eats it. It can be found in treasure chests, monsters can sometimes drop it, and looking in various item places (drawers, pots, bags) may help you seeds of strength. They cannot be found at any store, and give the eater 1-3 strength.

Seeds of strength are only found in the SNES and Gameboy Color remakes of Dragon Quest, but due to text restrictions in the Gameboy Color remake of Dragon Quest, Seed of Strength was renamed to STRseed.
