The Hydra, is a dragon-type monster that was first introduced in Dragon Quest III.
Appearence
The design of the Hydra is the one of an enormous reptilian being which is covered in blue scales and has five heads instead of one. At the top of each head there are red-colored crests that go from the front of the head to the base of the neck. In each limb there are four fingers that end up in white, sharp claws. It has yellow eyes.
In Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2, its Professional version and Terry's Wonderland 3D, the appearance of the Hydra is actually one of its subspecies: the Orochi. So it has green scales instead of blue, and grey purplish crests instead of red; the eyes, however, remain yellow.
