The Hydra, is a dragon-type monster that was first introduced in Dragon Quest III.
Appearence
The Hydra is an enormous reptilian being covered in blue scales and bearing five heads instead of one. At the top of each head are red-colored crests that go from the front of the cranium to the base of the neck. In each limb there are four fingers that end in white, sharp claws. It has glaring yellow eyes.
In Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2, its Professional version and Terry's Wonderland 3D, the appearance of the Hydra is actually one of its subspecies: the Orochi. So it has green scales instead of blue, and grey purplish crests instead of red; the eyes, however, remain yellow.
