The leather dress is a recurring piece of clothing in the Dragon Quest franchise. It is usually the first piece of equipment that can be exclusively worn by female characters.
Appearances
Dragon Quest III
The leather dress has a defence bonus of +15. It can be worn by any class as long as they are female. It is sold in Khoryv for 420 gold. One can also be found in the Underground Lake in B3F.
Dragon Quest IV
The leather dress has a defence bonus of +14. It can be worn by the female Hero, Alena, Meena, and Maya. It can be bought for 250 gold and sold for 187 gold.
Dragon Quest V
The leather dress has a defence bonus of +17. Only female human characters can wear it. It can be bought for 380 gold.
Dragon Quest VI
The leather dress has a defence bonus of +17 and a style bonus of +15. It can be bought for 380 gold in Port Haven and sold for 285 gold. Milly and Ashlynn can equip it.
Dragon Quest VII
The leather dress has a defence bonus of +18 and a style bonus of +15. Both Maribel and Aishe can wear it. It can be bought for 680 gold and sold for 450 gold. It is sold in Emberdale once the Flaming Festival begins and also in the general store in the present Emberdale.
Dragon Quest VIII
The leather dress has a defence bonus of +15. Only Jessica can wear it. It can be bought for 380 gold in Ascantha and sold for 190 gold. Its in-game description is "A sturdy suit of leather armor made for female adventurers."
