Tara (イル, Iru) is the sister of Cobi and one of the main characters found in Dragon Quest Monsters 2 and its remake Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key. She is the playable main character in her version of the game: Tara's Adventure.
Trivia[edit]
- When spoken together, Tara and Cobi's Japanese names form the Japanese word for dolphin: iruka (海豚). This plays into the tropical island setting of their games.
- The siblings' Japanese names were switched in the middle of development, with Yuji Horii stating that he felt Ruka sounded better as a boy's name[1].
