The mirror shield offers a defense bonus of +43. It can be equipped by the Hero or Angelo, and has a 20% chance to reflect spells. When equipped along with the mirror armour, the reflection rate jumps to 33.3%.
It can be purchased in Tryan Gully for 15000 Gold Coins, and can be sold for 7500.
Inspiration[edit]
The earliest known instance of a mirror shield belongs to the myth of Perseus, who was given extraordinary armaments by the gods in his task to slay Medusa. Among these was the fantastic Aegis shield from Athena, which is described in equal amounts as being either a true mirror in the modern sense or a plate of beaten bronze polished so finely it served as a mirror. In either case Perseus used the shield reflection to approach Medusa without being petrified, and the gorgon's ghastly visage was forever imprinted on the shield.
