Absorb Magic is a spell in the Dragon Quest series.
It enables a party member to recover MP each time they are targeted by an enemy spell, with the recovery amount being said incantation's MP cost.
The recurring armour piece Glombolero has a chance duplicate this effect when worn, albeit rarely.

Any character can learn Absorb Magic after reaching rank 3 of the Djinn genie vocation.

Dragon Quest Monsters[edit]
Called TakeMagic in this game, it is an upgraded form of RobMagic. RobMagic will grow into TakeMagic when a monster reaches at least level 13 with at least 58 MP and 52 Intelligence.
Dragon Quest Monsters 2[edit]
TakeMagic now requires 94 Intelligence to learn. It is naturally learned by the Lazamanus.
