"You are something of a show-off, are you not…?
You have extremely high ideals, which is not in itself a bad thing, but you struggle when they do not match up to reality…
Your worst feature is your tendency to constantly compare yourself with others…
You must learn to accept yourself as you are… To enjoy life… To take things as they come…"

In the Dragon Quest III remakes, show-off is a personality that improves strength, agility, and wisdom growth, but reduces resilience and luck growth.
At the start of the game, the hero becomes a show-off by receiving the final test of character in the forest. Before leaving the test, the hero must push at least two boulders to the old man, but no more than five.
Other party members have a chance to be a show-off when recruited as any class, depending on their stat bonuses.
An existing character becomes a show-off temporarily while wearing the ruby wristband accessory.
