The Magic Vestment (originally Sacred robe) is a recurring armor in the Dragon Quest franchise.

The magic vestment has a defence bonus of +35 (+38 in the NES Version). It can only be worn by Kiryl and Meena, and decreases magical damage by 33%.

Dragon Quest VII

The magic vestment improves defence by +30 points, and reduces magical damage by 25 points. It may only be equipped by Maribel, Gabo, and Melvin.

Dragon Quest VIII

The magic vestment has a defence bonus of +39. It can only be worn by Jessica and Angelo.

Dragon Quest IX

Appearing under the moniker of Magical Robes, the magic vestment is the first in a line of posh clothing that pumps up the otherworldly arts with aplomb.
