The Hate mail (Originally Armor of hades and later Devil Armour) is a recurring armor in the Dragon Quest franchise.

The hate mail has a defence bonus of +65, but will random freeze the wearer. It can be equipped by both The Hero and Warriors, and can sold for 5,250 gold coins. It's found in the Mountain Cave.
Dragon Quest V
The hate mail (here called Devil Armour) has a defense bonus of +65. It can only be equipped by certain monster companions.
