Lone wolf (いっぴきおおかみ, translated as solitary in the Game Boy Color version of Dragon Quest III) is a personality in the Dragon Quest III remakes, in Dragon Quest X, and in Dragon Quest: Monster Parade.
In the Dragon Quest III remakes, lone wolf is a personality that improves agilty, resilience and wisdom growth, but reduces luck growth.
At the start of the game, the Hero becomes a lone wolf by receiving the final test of character in the theater. The hero must answer no to the guy asking about marrying the dancer.
Other party members have a chance to be a lone wolf when talent scouted at Patty's Party Planning Place as any class with the exception of priests and mages, depending on their stat bonuses.

An existing character becomes a lone wolf temporarily while wearing the skull ring accessory.
The long wolf personality increases strength by 5%, increases resilience by 20%, increases agility by 10%, increases stamina by 20%, increases wisdom by 10%, and decreases luck by 30%. Equipping the skull ring will turn any character into a lone wolf.
