Extreme Explosion Spell is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series. It is one of the signature spells of the Dark Commander Hadlar, being a variation of the spell Kaboom that obliterates a group of enemies with a magical explosion.

Dragon Quest: Scan Battlers
At the beginning of 2020, a Kaboom card featuring Nera Briscoletti was distributed free of charge at Japanese arcades nationwide. It is described as a "maximum explosion spell" and would deal great damage to all enemies.
Dragon Quest Tact
Extreme Explosion Spell can be learned by Dark Commander Hadlar at level 40 and costs 114 MP to cast. It inflicts major Bang-type spell damage to all enemies in a plus sign-shaped area in front of him. Upgrading the spell increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to cast.

In the manga of Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, the kanji displayed when Hadlar would cast Kaboom correspond to its literal meaning: "maximum" (極大), "explosion" (爆裂), and "spell" (呪文). The Bang series of spells is depicted as a focused wave beam of sparkling light fired from the caster's hands after gathering energy.
