Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai
In the backstory, Hyunckel first devised the technique as the first of Avan's Disciples in response to Avan's sword techniques. He intended to use it to get revenge on Avan due to mistakenly believing the Hero murdered his father. On the day of Hyunckel's graduation, he first used the skill against his master, who in turn attacked the boy in self-defence. As the commander of the Undead Legion, Hyunckel would often use the attack in combination with his Dark Puppetry Aura Hand.
