Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive AgeEdit
The Luminary will learn Brightsplitter when speaking to the elder of Havens Above in the game's third act. It costs 16 MP to perform and deals up to 210~250 damage Light damage, using the Bang family of spells, but if the player has completed quest #60 then the MP cost will double and the base damage will be raised to 200~240. The new upper limit will be 400~440, and both versions required the Luminary to be equipped with the Sword of Light or one of its upgrades to use.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark PrinceEdit
Brightsplitter costs 15 MP and deals 20% more damage than a normal attack to all enemies. It is learned through the Bobby-Dazzler, Cleric, Hair Splitter, Leading Light, Lightning Rod, Polariser, Sizz Virtuoso, Sovereign, and Stony Slasher talents.
