The following are staff skills in Dragon Quest IX. Staff skills can be learned via the Martial Artist and Priest classes.
Trip of a Deathtime
Sends a group of enemies crashing to the ground. Requires 7 skill points to learn.
Deliverance
An attack that deals 50% more damage to undead opponents, and requires 22 skill points to learn.
Party Pooper
Damages a group of enemies and may knock them down. Damage is calculated in the same method as whips and boomerangs. This technique requires 42 skill points to learn.
Crushed Ice
Four Ice-element strikes that hit random targets for 30% of a normal blow's strength. Costs 5 MP to use and 76 skill points to master.
Counter Wait
Dodges and immediately counterattacks. Requires the 'Staff Studies' in a character's inventory to use.
Omnivocational Staffmaster
Enables the character to use staves with any vocation.
Passive Bonuses
- With 58 points into the skill, a character holding a staff will have +4% evasion bonus.
