In the Dragon Quest III remakes, meathead is a personality that improves strength growth, but reduces agility, wisdom, and luck growth.
The hero cannot become a meathead at the start of the game.
Other party members have a chance to be a meathead when talent scouted at Patty's Party Planning Place, depending on their stat bonuses.
An existing character becomes a meathead permanently by reading the Diary of a Hardman book, or temporarily while wearing the strength ring accessory.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[edit]
The meathead personality increases strength by 30%, decreases resilience by 10%, decreases agility by 80%, has no influence on stamina, decreases wisdom by 30%, and decreases luck by 20%. Any character can become as dense as a brick by reading the Diary of a Hardman book or by equipping a strength ring.
