Slippery devil
Slippery devil (ぬけめがない Mekemeganai, translated as alert in the Game Boy Color version of Dragon Quest III) is a personality in the Dragon Quest III remakes, in Dragon Quest X, and in Dragon Quest: Monster Parade.

In the Dragon Quest III remakes, slippery devil is a personality that improves agility and wisdom growth, but reduces strength and resilience growth.
At the start of the game, the hero becomes a slippery devil by receiving the final test of character in the town. The hero must take the purse, then don't confess being a thief when confronted.
Other party members have a chance to be a slippery devil when talent scouted at Patty's Party Planning Place as any class, with the exception of martial artists, depending on their stat bonuses.
An existing character becomes a slippery devil permanently by reading the Would I Lie to You? book.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[edit]
The slippery devil personality decreases strength by 5%, increases resilience by 10%, increases agility by 10%, decreases stamina by 10%, increases wisdom by 20%, and has no influence on luck. Any character can learn to avoid the law by reading the Would I Lie to You? book.
