Sultry Dance is an enemy skill in the Dragon Quest series. It tries to get the target into the groove, utilizing a 100%, 85%, 50% and 0% accuracy rate based on the foe's resistance to being stunned.

Appearances

Dragon Quest V

Sultry Dance is learned by several monster companions such as the hulagan. Hula ghoul and Deathsquad use it only as enemies.

Dragon Quest VI

Sultry Dance is learned by advancing to rank 1 of the Dancer vocation.

It is also used by the enemies Scare root, Slugger, Sluggernaut, Sluggerslaught, and Perky pelican.

Dragon Quest VII

Acting the same as in its last two appearances, it is learned by advancing to Rank 2 of the Dancer vocation in the PS1 original or Rank 1 once again in the 3DS remake.

It can be cast by the enemies Woebergine, Awebergine, Übergine, Fandangow, Goodybag, and Bags o' Sweets.

Dragon Quest IX

Used by several enemies to waste a party member's turn. It is also available to players as a party gesture.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

Several enemies are capable of forcing party members to dance, with each one having a unique animation that reflects their personality.

Dragon Quest Monsters

Called LureDance in this game, it requires the monster to reach level 14 with 84 HP and 98 agility. It is naturally learned by the DanceVegi, MadDragon, MadGoose and Mommonja.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2

The requirements to learn LureDance are unchanged. It is naturally learned by the Eggplaton, GhosTree, HoodSquid, Octokid and Puppetor.
