The Mazin is a recurring fused monster in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King.
Characteristics[edit]
Mazin is the supreme Golem, being a gigantic red golem that glows with fiery aura. It's size varies from title to title as with most monsters, ranging from being as tall as a mountain to roughly 5 meters. Regardless of this discrepancy, Mazin's power is always among the greatest in the games where it appears.
Appearances[edit]
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]

The player can get Mazin by forming a Monster Team with the three Golem monsters, Brickman (which can be found in the Maella Region), Goldman (the area of the Holy Isle of Neos) and Stoneman (plateau on the Dark Ruins Isle) and their deathmove The Golemator.
Tension accumulated by Mazin's components will be carried over into the fusion, meaning that nearly every common monster will be atomized upon being hit. In addition, Mazin's Critical Hit ratios is much higher than normal at 1/6
Additionally, a Mazin can randomly be summoned by Morrie's Monster Mia ability to deliver a catastrophic punch to a single enemy.

Etymology[edit]
