The Haywire helm is a cursed helmet that appears in Dragon Quest VII. Any character who equips it becomes confused at the start of battle.

The Haywire helm grants the wearer +42 Defence, and +8 Style, but they become cursed, and are confused in battle. As with any cursed equipment, it can only be removed with Benediction from a priest at a church.
It is found in a chest on the basement floor of the Cathedral of Light, and can be equipped by Kiefer, Ruff, and Aishe. Sells for 900 gold.
