The Words of Wisdom (formerly known as the Book of Satori) is an item in Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation which allows a character to become a Sage at Alltrades Abbey. The treatise can only be used once, and is found at the Tower of Transcendence. In the NES version of the game Belisha Beakon's have a very rare chance of dropping this item.

Etymology

Satori is a Buddhist term for Awakening, Understanding and (total) Comprehension.

Trivia

In the official Famicom guide book, the English title of this item is the Book of Understanding.
