The Wayfarer's Inn is located southwest of Cantlin and can be reached by taking the first bridge past the Weirdwood. A Tantegel guard resting at the inn morosely notes that visitors have become bitterly scarce since Damdara fell to the Dragonlord's forces, and advises the Hero on how to reach Cantlin. Humorously, the innkeeper's assistant is too chicken to descend down the indoors well to assess its quality as part of his tasks, and asks the Hero to go in his stead.

The inn provides the hospitality lacking in the Jipangese archipelago, and with the presence of metal slimes inside Orochi's Lair it makes for a handy grinding spot. A refugee fleeing Orochi is taking shelter at the inn, unable to find his way to the Alltrades Abbey. Beyond the jail door is the teleportal that transports the player to the Wayfarer's Shrine.
