The Southern Sea Lord's Lair is a deepsea grotto filled to the brim with gold and the wreckage of countless ships sunken by its sole resident.
Appearances[edit]
The southern lair is south by southwest of the Shrine of Flames, and is inhabited by the colossal sea serpent Abysmerelda. The bestiary plainly states that it is the apex predator of the ocean and it has the power to prove it, but should the Scions of Erdrick slay the snake they will be rewarded with a living memory and a pair of elevating shoes. The lair is the only place in the game where the player is guaranteed to find a pair of elevating shoes, making the dangerous trip worthwhile.
