The Aquarion is a recurrent monster in the Monsters subseries and it was introduced in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2.

Characteristics

Aquarion is a deity-type monster which is heavily inspired by ancient sea gods. His appearance is of a giant human-like creature with greyish aqua blue skin, triton ears and red hair and beard. Aquarion wears armor similar to the ones that some Greek gods are depicted with, it consists of a navy blue body plate armor with golden wavy details and a large blue cape on its back, and below the armor, there is a beige tunic held to the body by a leather belt. This outfit also has matching bracelets and sandals. Aquarion wields two powerful weapons: the trident and the vase of Aquarius (both made of gold). The trident is reminiscent of the one of the Greek and Roman gods of the sea and the vase is the same that the Zodiac spirit, Aquarius, uses and is depicted with.
