The trailblazing bandana, also known simply as the scarf, is a recurring accessory in the Dragon Quest series. It has also appeared as a piece of headwear in later games.

Dragon Quest VI
The trailblazing bandana has a defence bonus of +5 and a style bonus of +28. It can be equipped by the Hero, Carver, Milly, Ashlynn, Terry, Lizzie, and the slime recruits. It can be purchased in Turnscote and Greedmore Valley for 500 gold and sold for 375 gold. It is also the prize for the second Style Contest at the Château de Sass. They can be dropped by Well wishers and Scarewells.
Dragon Quest VII
The trailblazing bandana has a defence bonus of +5 and a style bonus of +17. It can be equipped by all characters. It can be purchased for 100 tokens at the Pilgrim's Rest Casino and also won as a prize from the Lucky Panel.
