The ring of clarity is a recurring accessory in the Dragon Quest series. It features a design of an eight-pointed star and is designed to protect the wearer against confusion.

The ring of clarity has a defence bonus of +10 and can be equipped by all characters. One is received as a reward for clearing Rank E of the Monster Arena. It can also be created by combining a gold ring and a Fallen angel rapier in the Alchemy Pot. It can be sold for 650 gold.

The recipe book Little Lifesavers contains the recipe for the ring of clarity. It can be found in a treasure chest in Heliodor Castle in the Queen's Bedchamber during the second act. If two rings of clarity +3 are equipped at once, it is possible to become completely resistant to being confused.
