The dracolyte is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, introduced in the original game. They are essentially Drackies that can cast simple magic, and are magenta-hued. They pose a greater danger than their swarthy brethren, as players are unlikely to have any defence against spells when first encountering them.
