Hephaestus' flame

Hephaestus' flame is a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. It is a fierce flame said to have been bestowed by the god of blacksmithing that is used as an alchemy ingredient.

Hephaestus' flame has a 10% chance of being found in Rank 5 blue treasure chests and a 15% chance in Rank 6 chests, can be dropped by Flamin' draymans, Rockbombs, and Magmalices, or received as a reward for repeating Quest #168: Potty About Pots. It can also be made in the Krak Pot by combining a Lava lump, a clump of Royal soil, and a jar of Toad oil. It can be sold for 265 gold.
