Kerplunk (formerly known as Farewell) is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series. It sacrifices the one who casts it to restore all other party members.

- Due to the addition of Red and Morrie as playable characters, Kerplunk now heals characters in the wagon as it did in previous titles.
Dragon Quest IX
Kerplunk is learned by paladins at level 46. It costs all MP to cast.
Dragon Quest XI
Kerplunk is learned by Serena at level 60 and Hendrik at level 65. It requires 32 MP to cast depleting all when the user dies.
