Boodica is a monster introduced in Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition who appears in Jade's intermission chapter. She is a female member of the Jockilles lineage.

Boodica is a Jockilles variant with blue skin, shocking pink nails, and a pink heart tattoo. She lords over Limboo, the hellish realm to which Booga of the Spectral Sentinels banishes any who oppose him - in particular, the fighters of Octagonia. Since the fall of Yggdrasil, Boodica has been tormenting these unfortunate souls in her arena, subjecting them to brutal, unwinnable fights.
She is madly in love with Booga, even exchanging sappy love letters with the fiend, and becomes intensely jealous of Jade, who her beloved has obviously become smitten with. When Jade manages to survive the infamous "Girly Burly" gauntlet, Boodica challenges the martial artist personally, but Jade manages to hold her own. Inspired by this display, her fellow fighters join her in battle against Boodica, and together they are able to topple her. Boodica's defeat opens a rift back to the real world, and Jade and the other fighters are able to escape from Limboo. However, Booga has other plans for Jade, whose torment has only just begun...
Boodica fights alongside a pair of Wrecktors ("Boodica's right-hand man" and ""Boodica's left-hand man"). Because the player is given four immortal allies and Jade cannot be killed with the Hare-raising suit equipped, it is impossible to lose this battle.
In Act 3, Boodica appears in one of Grand Master Pang's Wheel of Harma challenges.
Etymology[edit]
- Boodica's English name is derived from Boudica, a queen in ancient Britain who resisted Roman occupation.
