The Elfin charm is a recurring accessory in the Dragon Quest series that first appeared in Dragon Quest V. This medallion protects against snooze, fuddle, fizzle, and whack by reducing the spell's accuracy by 75%.

Dragon Quest V[edit]
The elfin charm reduces the chance of spells that cause negative status effects from hitting the wearer by 75%. It can be purchased in Precaria for 3,000 gold. The item can be worn by all characters.
Dragon Quest IX[edit]
It can be sold for 2,250 gold, but not bought. It has Def +5 and a 2 star rarity. Everyone can equip it. It is made by the alchemy recipe of Holy talisman x 1 + Elfin elixir x 1 + Emerald moss x 3. Its menu description is: A talisman that turns aside tons of undesirable effects.
