Crybaby (なきむし Nakimushi,translated as weepy in the Game Boy Color version of Dragon Quest III) is a personality in the Dragon Quest III remakes, in Dragon Quest X, and in Dragon Quest: Monster Parade.

In the Dragon Quest III remakes, crybaby is a personality that improves wisdom and luck growth, but reduces strength and agility growth.
At the start of the game, the Hero becomes a crybaby by receiving the final test of character in the theater. The hero must answer yes when the guy ask about marrying the dancer.
Other party members have a chance to be a crybaby when talent scouted at Patty's Party Planning Place, depending on their stat bonuses.
An existing character becomes a crybaby permanently by reading the The Saddest Story Ever Told book.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D RemakeEdit
The crybaby personality decreases strength by 10%, decreases resilience by 30%, decreases agility by 10%, has no influence on stamina, increases wisdom by 10%, and increases luck by 20%. Any character can become a sobbing mess after reading The Saddest Story Ever Told book.
