Dragon Quest III remakes[edit]

In the Dragon Quest III remakes, lazybones is a personality that improves strength, resilience and luck growth, but reduces agility and wisdom growth.

At the start of the game, the Hero becomes a lazybones by receiving the final test of character in the forest. Before leaving the test, the hero must push no more than one boulder to the old man, or avoid the task altogether.

Other party members have a chance to be a lazybones when recruited as any class depending on their stat bonuses.
