List of room recipes in Dragon Quest Builders
Dragon Quest Builders focuses on base building, this page aims to list all the rooms the player can build.
Some rooms might be unavailable in certain chapters due to the available resources and recipes in each chapter, but all of them are available in Terra Incognita. Rooms with the effect of inspiring villagers to build and farm might allow them to craft some rare blocks and items the builder can't make in a given chapter, allowing the builder to make rooms that would otherwise be hard or impossible to make in that specific chapter.
All rooms require walls 2 blocks high and at least 1 door. These are not listed because any blocks and any door(s) will work. All rooms also require some type of light source; however, which type of light source can vary from room to room, so this information is included on this page.
Some rooms give passive helpful bonuses or effects. It is believed that these effects generally speaking do not stack[1][2].

- Any requirement noted between brackets [ ] means players can use any item of that category.
For example, "[ Light source ] x1" means one light source -a brazier, a sconce, a torch...- is needed, while "
Torch x1" means one torch is needed.
Blocks of Water can be created by placing a
Water Crystal below sea level.
Hot Water Crystals generate
Blocks of Hot Water instead.
- The scores listed below refer to the score the player would get by using the most basic decorations. If the builder decorates a room that also accepts torches with a sconce, the score will be higher than if using a torch.
- The rooms marked with * in their availability require rare drops from monsters, unique furniture available in limited quantities within in the chapter , or furniture only made by villagers in specific rooms. For example, in chapter 1 bathtubs can only be crafted by villagers or obtained by defeating the smaller golems.

The Twin and Triple Teleportariums are unavailable in Chapter 4 and Terra Incognita, due to the teleportals being in a fixed position and outside of town in Chapter 4 (so even if the conditions for the Twin Teleportarium were met, it wouldn't register) and unmovable in Terra Incognita. These two rooms are the only unavailable rooms in Terra Incognita.
