The Poxtongue is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.
Characteristics
Poxtongues are large bipedal mammals similar to beavers or woodchucks. Their most notable feature, naturally, are their long, slobbering blue tongues which reach down to their bellies. They have brown skin, a pair of horns on top of their heads, and wrinkled skin. Poxtongues use their tongues to lick enemies and then slash with their front paws. These lumbering beasts have not made a reappearance in the series aside from spinoffs.
