Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]
Find the three small slimes scattered across the world. There's one by Trodain, one by the autumn church, and one near Empycchu. After putting the Slime Squad in the monster team, they (Smiles, Slime Shady, Tori) will combine with Supersize Slimey and the player will obtain Ultrus.

Ultrus always acts twice per turn, can heal himself with Omniheal, and rain hell upon his foes with Starfall. These catastrophic comets hit for 80~96 each, and carry the same attribute as Boulder Toss and Stone's Throw.
Ultrus has incredible staying power when he enters the fray, capable of turning the tide of even the most doomed battle. The problem is keeping his components alive long enough to fuse in the first place--yet another example of Yuji Horii's gambling-based philosophy when it comes to game difficulty.
