The Lucida shard (ほしのかけら hoshi no kakera "Star Shard") is an accessory that first appeared in Dragon Quest VI, where when used as an item in battle, it would attempt to confuse an enemy.
In Dragon Quest IV (remake), this was changed to where it would instead cure an ally's confusion. In Dragon Quest IX it is an alchemy ingredient.

It can't be bought or sold.
One can be found in a drawer at Madame Luca's House, and it has a 1/256 chance of being dropped by a Fuddleguana.
