The Iron Lance (or Iron Spear and Spear) is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest franchise.

Dragon Quest II
The iron spear is a more powerful and deadly weapon and it allows you to fight with some distance between you and your enemies.
Dragon Quest III
The spear has an attack bonus of +26 (+28 in the NES Version) and can be equipped by the hero, warriors, fighters, clerics, dealers, jesters, and sages. It can be purchased at Romaly for 650 gold (750 in the NES Version).
Dragon Quest IV
The iron lance has an attack bonus of +28.
Dragon Quest VII
The iron lance has an attack bonus of +23 and an appearance bonus of +8. It can be equipped by the hero, Kiefer, Gabo, Melvin, and Aira.
Dragon Quest VIII
The iron lance has an attack bonus of +24.
