The angel leotard is a recurring garment in the Dragon Quest series that was introduced in Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride. Usually exclusive to women in its appearances, it provides a lot of defence and helps protect the wearer against instant death spells and occasionally against ice attacks as well.
In its original appearance, the angel leotard is a white and pink one-piece with two blue streamers coming out of the back. It also comes with two wristguards from where two smaller streamers are attached, pink slippers, frilly ankle guards and a silver choker with an oblong pink stone. In Dragon Quest VI, the outfit is mostly the same except it lost the streamers. In Dragon Quest VII and subsequent remakes of the Zenithian Trilogy, the garment was redesigned where it now possesses a different color scheme of blue and pink and a bustle of innumerable pink feathers.
The angel leotard has a defence bonus of +60. It can only be worn by female characters, and will reduce damage caused by fire & ice breath attacks by 1/3rd. It is only available in remake versions of the game through the Pioneer Town's armour shop for 13,000 gold and as a treasure found in the Fungeon.
The angel leotard has a defence bonus of +70, and reduces crack and ice breath damage by 25, as well as reducing the accuracy of instant death by 50%. It can only be worn by female human characters. It can be bought in Precaria for 21,000 gold and sold for 15,750 gold.
The angel leotard (called Angel's leotard in this game) is found only in the Bonus Dungeon. It has a defense bonus of +95 and style bonus of +88. Though it has lost its ice resistance, the garment still guards against instant death.
The angel leotard has a defence bonus of +93 and a style bonus of +72. It cannot be purchased in any store but it can be sold for 10,500 gold. Maribel and Aishe can equip it. Reduces the accuracy of instant death by 50%. Angel leotards can be won as prizes from the Lucky Panel at Buccanham's Casino, and can be dropped by both Abyss divers and Low djinks.
