The Claws is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VIII. These powerful claw-wielding warriors serve as assassins.
Characteristics[edit]
Claws are muscular humanoid monsters covered in silvery blue scales that, naturally, dual wield razor-sharp claws in battle. The handguards on their claws and helmets are made of red metal, and they wear short teal kilts with leather belts around their waists, teal boots with red tips, and capes of blue fur that cover their backs. They are the strongest warriors amongst their kind, being capable of ripping apart their enemies with their rotational corkscrew attacks.

Trivia[edit]
- Their bestiary description in VIII erroneously states that the Claws use magic to lower the defenses of enemies, but they are completely incapable of casting any kind of magic as they lack MP.
