The Hipster is a monster that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest VIII. It is a demon whose most recognizable feature is their long spiked tail.
Characteristics[edit]
Hipsters are flamboyant demons with the appearance of men with reddish-pink skin, a pair of orange bat-like wings on their back, and dark blue skintight outfits that cover most of their lower bodies, including their tails which end in a series of sharp spikes. They have slicked back white hair, long pointed ears, and spikes on their shoulders and lower backs. In battle, they constantly have their backs turned towards their enemies, with their cruel faces turned around. The demons are able to put their opponents out of action by attempting to get them into the groove with their dance moves or by placing a curse on them with just a point of their cruel fingers.
