Kaleidoskin is a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. It is an iridescent piece of high-quality leather taken from a powerful monster that is used as a crafting ingredient.

Dragon Quest X[edit]

Kaleidoskin is used as an ingredient in the creation of level 36-42 equipment, particularly pieces of clothing. It can be dropped by various monsters, such as Archdemons, Black dragons, Frou-frous, Godsteeds, and Mohawkers.

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below[edit]

Kaleidoskin can be dropped by Archdemons and Marquis de Léon, received from King Flaminio in exchange for 8 Mini medals each on the Stonecloud, or received as a reward for completing Grudge Match: Old Five-Necks with gold clear time. It can be used to create Dogged collars and Elevating shoes in the Alchemy Pot and can be sold for 1,100 gold coins each.

Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End[edit]

Kaleidoskin is used as an ingredient to improve various accessories. It can be dropped by Draguars and Pruslas or can be exchanged by turning in 10 mini medals.
